Job summary

YMCA Early Childhood Impact in Antioch is seeking a Preschool Teacher to create warm, inclusive classrooms aligned with Head Start standards. You will plan activities, observe children, and use assessments to tailor instruction, while partnering with families to support development and learning outcomes.

The role requires ECE coursework, an Associate Teacher permit or higher, and strong English communication. On-site work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• Head Start/Early Head Start eligibility experience preferred.
• Current permit at Associate Teacher level or higher.
• 12+ ECE units; infant/toddler units for Early Head Start preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English; multilingual a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement curriculum goals aligned with Creative Curriculum and Head Start outcomes.
• Plan and facilitate learning activities for individuals and groups.
• Supervise and monitor children at all times and ensure safety.
• Document progress using observation notes and work samples.
• Engage families through home visits and parent/teacher conferences.
• Maintain organized files and ensure timely documentation.
