You will collaborate with staff, plan lessons, and maintain open communication with families regarding development and classroom happenings.

The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and teamwork within a supportive educational setting. Experience in early childhood education and MSDE guidelines is preferred.

Qualifications

• AA degree in Early Childhood Education or higher preferred.
• MD state credential Level 5 required or preferred.
• Relevant clock hour trainings in child development and infant/toddler education.
• Good communication with staff, parents and the public required.

Responsibilities

• Manages classroom ensuring compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and internal policies.
• Provides a welcoming, safe classroom environment for children, parents and visitors.
• Maintains attractive displays and a current Parent Board.
• Creates and implements age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Celebree curriculum.
• Supervises children during activities and uses positive discipline techniques.
• Ensures clean, safe classroom conditions and accurate paperwork.
• Communicates regularly with parents about development and classroom happenings.
• Collaborates with assistant teacher and school director to address opportunities or problems.
