Job summary

Celebree School seeks a dedicated early childhood educator to manage a licensed preschool classroom in Maryland. The role focuses on creating a welcoming, safe learning environment and delivering engaging, theme-based lessons.

You will collaborate with an assistant teacher, maintain documentation, and communicate regularly with families about progress and classroom activities. A strong emphasis on compliance and professional growth is expected.

Qualifications

• 90 clock hrs in Child Development and Curriculum Planning.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed preschool classroom.
• 1 year of college (30 semester hours) may substitute for the experience.
• 9 clock hrs of training in communicating with staff, parents, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Manage classroom in compliance with MSDE-OCC regulations and Celbree standards.
• Provide welcoming environment for children, parents, and visitors.
• Maintain classroom displays and an informative Parent Board.
• Develop and implement weekly lesson plans aligned with Celebree curriculum.
• Supervise and guide children with positive discipline techniques.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety of the classroom.
• Complete daily classroom paperwork accurately.
• Support and direct assistant teacher to keep the classroom orderly.
• Communicate with parents regarding child development and classroom happenings.
• Identify opportunities or problems and coordinate with leadership to resolve.
