Discovery Isle Preschool in California is seeking a full-time early childhood assistant to support infants and toddlers, follow lesson plans, maintain a safe classroom, and collaborate with the teaching team.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED, and can work from December 5, 2026 through April 5, 2027, demonstrating strong communication and a caring presence.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months previous experience working with children in a licensed childcare program.
• Ability to adapt to different age groups, teaching styles, and classroom needs.
• Strong communication, reliability, and a warm, caring presence.
• Authorization to work in the United States.

Responsabilités

• Support classroom instruction and routines for infants and toddlers.
• Encourage independence and collaboration through hands-on, play-based learning.
• Assist with instructional activities, supervision, meal/snack times, and transitions.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom setting aligned with school expectations.
• Collaborate with teaching teams and follow established lesson plans and schedules.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff members.
• Model professionalism, flexibility, and a willingness to jump in where needed.
