Job summary

Discovery Isle Preschool in California is seeking a loving, full-time Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. This role supports infants and young toddlers in a safe, nurturing environment, helping them explore, grow, and reach developmental milestones.

You will work with older infants and young toddlers, provide a warm, responsive classroom, build strong relationships with families through daily updates, and collaborate with staff to maintain routines and meet licensing standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED AND one of the following: 12 Core ECE Units (including 3 Infant Toddler) OR a CDA in Infant Toddler.
• Minimum of 6 months prior teaching experience in a licensed childcare center.
• Nurturing, patient, flexible, and loving approach to working with babies.

Responsibilities

• Work with older infants and young toddlers.
• Provide a warm, responsive, and engaging classroom experience that supports each child’s individual needs.
• Build strong relationships with families through daily communication and care updates.
• Create a safe and stimulating classroom environment where infants can develop curiosity, confidence, and early learning skills.
• Collaborate with the teaching team to maintain consistent routines, meet licensing standards, and uphold our school’s commitment to excellence.
