Rogers Independent School District is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher for the Early Learning Center. The role requires creating a safe, nurturing preschool environment and implementing developmentally appropriate activities aligned with licensing requirements.

You will collaborate with families and staff to support each child’s growth, manage caregiving routines, and monitor progress through observations and screenings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; associates degree in early childhood or CDA preferred.
• Two or more years of similar or related experience; prior child care experience preferred.
• Experience and/or education in early childhood required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsabilités

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, clean, nurturing, and inviting learning environment for children
• Support the social, intellectual and emotional development of children
• Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool children
• Build the basic curriculum on caregiving routines as a shared experience between teacher and child
• Supervise children both indoors and outdoors at all times
• Plan and implement learning experiences and utilize integrated curriculum plans reflecting mandated elements and parental and cultural influences
• Complete all developmentally appropriate assessments and screenings on all children as required
• Develop skill-based, individualized classroom activities for each child based on parental input and observations
• Promote parent involvement by reinforcing parents as primary caregiver and educator
• Plan and coordinate the work of the teacher assistant and other staff
• Demonstrate cultural competency and respect for the child's background
• Assist families with transitions from toddler to preschool and/or preschool to kindergarten
• Maintain cooperation with staff, volunteers, parents, and program specialists
• Implement developmental assessments to determine strengths and needs
• Prepare materials and supplies in advance for activities
• Implement behavior plans designed by mentors/mental health specialists
• Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote self-esteem and self-discipline
• Ensure full implementation of IEPs and inclusion of children with disabilities
• Conduct direct observations and data collection in portfolios
• Ensure routines such as diapering, toileting, hand washing, etc., are carried out hygienically and in compliance with regulations
• Work with staff to promote teamwork and professionalism
• Perform other related duties.
