Job summary

ChildCareGroup in Dallas, TX is seeking an Infant/Toddler Teacher to join a collaborative team. You will plan and implement developmentally appropriate programs for infants and toddlers, and ensure compliance with CCG standards, Early Head Start Performance Standards, and licensing requirements.

You will support learning centers, participate in planning and assessments, and maintain positive relations with children and families.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate desire to work with young children and understand growth and development
• Ability to work as a team member with staff, parents and volunteers
• Good organizational, written and oral communication skills
• Regular and prompt attendance

Responsibilities

• Manages classroom environment.
• Shares responsibility of setting up room for daily activities.
• Provides attractive and functional learning centers.
• Assists in planning, preparation and implementation of work with children appropriate to development level based on RC 3 ; includes developing curriculum, completing child assessments, maintaining records, etc.
• Understands the routine of each classroom in which he/she may work.
• Develops good relations with children and their families.
• Serves as a team member in assigned classroom.
• Requires the acquisition of knowledge and proficiency of the Head Start Electronic Information System and/or Redelearner Database within the introductory period of employment.
• ChildCareGroup will train the employee either directly or through the Database Training Department of Head Start of Greater Dallas, Inc.
• Works under supervision of the Early Childhood Center Manager and/or Children’s Program Coordinator with indirect supervision from Lead Teacher.
• Participates in parent meetings and parent conferences.
• Provides attractive and functional learning centers.
• Assists in the inventory of and request for equipment and supplies.
• Participates in entry process of child into care giving group.
• Shares responsibility of setting up room for daily activities.
• Complies with all CCG policies and procedures including, but not limited to, EEO/Affirmative Action, ADA, Conduct, Conflict of Interest, Solicitation and Safety.
• Assumes responsibility for daily classroom program in Lead Teacher’s absence.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
