The YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Lead Infant/Toddler Teacher for the West Side YMCA in New York, NY. You will implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical needs of infants and toddlers, under the Early Childhood Director’s guidance.

You will coach assistants, manage parent communication, and ensure alignment with health and safety guidelines while maintaining accurate program documentation and adherence to DOH/DOE guidelines

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and State Teacher certification.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and one year of experience.
• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (practicum included) and five years of experience.
• CDA certification and approved DOH study plan leading to a degree within seven years.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure health, safety, and well being of children with close supervision.
• Plan and lead developmentally appropriate lessons and activities.
• Facilitate literacy, arts, math, cooking, science, and outdoor/indoor activities.
• Develop and coordinate classroom centers aligned with curriculum.
• Conduct student assessments and gather growth data.
• Communicate with parents about child development and progress.
• Encourage parent participation in events and volunteering.
• Supervise Assistant Teachers and other staff as needed.
