Job summary

Dwight School in New York City is seeking a self-directed, experienced Lead Teacher for the Infant/Toddler Program (6-24 months). The position runs 8:30am-5:30pm, with start date in November 2026, and compensation commensurate with experience.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant classroom experience and a passion for nurturing early learning in a warm, inclusive environment. You will collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families, and ensure compliance with NYC DOHMH

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• At least two years of experience as a group teacher in infant/toddler care.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and maintain a safe, healthy classroom environment.
• Communicate with parents and administrators to provide continuity and communication between home and school.
• Collaborate with other faculty and staff to coordinate efforts.

• Ensure compliance with NYC DOHMH rules and regulations.
