Job summary

Thom Child and Family Services in Norwood, MA seeks a Developmental Specialist/Early Childhood Educator to deliver home and community-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers birth to three and their families. You will collaborate with parents to create individualized IFSPs, coordinate services, and support family priorities using a parent coaching model.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on infants and toddlers and at least 300 practicum hours.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child- and family-centered services for birth to three using parent coaching.
• Develop and monitor IFSPs with families to identify goals and strategies.
• Document progress notes and reports in Thom’s electronic documentation system.
• Support parent-child interactions and advocacy for the child.
