Union County Community Action, Inc. (UCCA) is hiring an Infant & Toddler Teacher to work with 1- and 2-year-olds in Monroe, NC. The role supports development through nurturing, individualized activities, and close family communication. Schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm, 40 hours weekly, with competitive benefits.

The position emphasizes Head Start standards, safety, and collaborative teamwork to foster early milestones in a supportive community setting.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Infant/Toddler CDA credential preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with infants, toddlers or preschoolers is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification required or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening and TB test.

Aufgaben

• Provide nurturing care and supervision for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities.
• Develop secure, responsive relationships with children.
• Maintain a safe, clean, engaging classroom.
• Observe and assess children's developmental progress.
• Communicate with families regarding children's growth and activities.
• Conduct parent conferences and home visits as required.
• Collaborate with staff and specialists.
• Ensure compliance with Head Start standards and licensing.
