Job summary

Union County Community Action, Inc. is seeking an Early Head Start Home Visitor to work with pregnant women and families with infants and toddlers in Monroe, NC.

The role focuses on building relationships, delivering developmentally appropriate learning experiences, and connecting families with essential resources in the home setting. The position emphasizes one-on-one family support, documentation, and collaboration with program staff to coordinate services and track progress.

Qualifications

• Requires building relationships with pregnant women and families.
• Experience documenting progress and maintaining records.
• Willingness to travel within the service area for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly home visits with assigned families.
• Plan engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences for infants and toddlers.
• Coach and support parents in their child’s learning and development.
• Assess children's progress and develop individualized learning objectives.
• Plan and facilitate group socialization activities for families.
• Provide family education on parenting, health and safety, nutrition, and more.
• Develop Family Partnership Agreements and track goals.
• Connect families with community resources and follow up on referrals.
