Job summary

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to support an infant-toddler classroom with developmentally appropriate activities and safe learning environments. You will assist in lesson planning using Creative Curriculum and track progress through ongoing observations.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma with 90-hour Child Care Certificate and Infant-Toddler 45 Hour Certificate.
• Minimum 1 year supervised classroom experience with children ages 0-3.
• Associate degree in Early Childhood Education preferred; CDA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, age-appropriate, developmentally enriching learning environment.
• Plan weekly lesson plans utilizing Creative Curriculum and Early Learning Literacy Standards.
• Engage infants/toddlers verbally and model language and social cues.
• Assess and document child progress using TSR GOLD and Teaching Strategies GOLD data.
