Job summary

CPCD in Colorado Springs is seeking an Infant Toddler Teacher Assistant to support the lead teacher in planning and delivering developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a CDA or Early Childhood Credential, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds; bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, with a pathway to further credentials and benefits from CPCD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDA credential or ECE PDIS Level II required; must obtain within two years of hire.
• Must obtain First Aid, CPR, and medication administration certification within 90 days.
• Must lift/carry up to 40 pounds.
• Reliable transportation; may travel to another location if necessary.
• Pre-employment physical, TB test, drug test, and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in planning age-appropriate activities for infants and toddlers.
• Set up learning environment; maintain clean, safe space.
• Monitor child progress and adjust learning strategies as needed.
• Ensure safety and supervision during routines and transitions.
• Support families with regular progress updates and communication.
