Job summary

Los Angeles Education Partnership is seeking a Teacher to plan and implement infant/toddler classroom activities in alignment with Head Start Performance Standards and state regulations. The role focuses on developmentally appropriate practices and a collaborative, child-centered environment.

Responsibilities include assessing classroom quality with ECERS, maintaining a safe, organized space, documenting progress, and communicating with families about developmental growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or equivalent.
• Child Development Associate AA plus a CDA Credential.
• 3 units in Infant/Toddler development.
• Experience teaching early childhood is required.
• Good computer skills; proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Head Start knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement infant/toddler activities meeting Head Start and state standards.
• Evaluate classroom quality using ECERS and other assessment tools.
• Maintain a vibrant, safe, orderly classroom and monitor safety of indoor/outdoor facilities.
• Collaborate with Center-Based Manager and other staff to balance child- and adult-directed activities.
• Communicate with families about their child’s development and progress.
