Job summary

Center for Transforming Lives is hiring an Early Head Start Teacher to deliver responsive caregiving and developmentally appropriate learning for infants and toddlers. The role emphasizes nurturing teacher-child interactions, planning engaging experiences, and using assessments aligned with Head Start guidelines.

The position requires a valid Infant Toddler CDA, 24 months of classroom teaching in a licensed center, and strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have Infant Toddler Child Development Associate credential.
• Minimum of 24 months of classroom teaching in a licensed center.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Actively supervise and ensure the health, well‑being, and safety of children.
• Implement age‑appropriate infant/toddler lessons with fidelity and inclusively scaffold learning.
• Articulate and demonstrate sound early childhood principles and practices for infants and toddlers.
• Partner with and effectively communicate with children, families, and staff to support school readiness.
• Make decisions affecting operation, care, and education of the children with professionalism.
• Facilitate family engagement experiences, two home visits per year.
• Coordinate classroom staff and volunteers in the daily routine.
