Job summary

The Village Nest in Eliot, ME seeks a Lead Teacher for aftercare to supervise children and provide a safe, nurturing environment. You will plan nature-based activities, foster development, and support families through everyday interactions.

Responsibilities include documenting activities, collaborating with staff, and ensuring children’s well-being. A GED or higher is required; a BA in Early Childhood Education is preferred. CPR/First Aid certification and background checks are required.

• Excellent patience and stamina to keep up with children of all ages.

• Plan and implement nature-based and educational activities aligned with program goals and curriculum.
• Foster positive relationships with children and encourage development through exploration and play.
• Communicate with parents via the Brightwheel App about experiences and progress.
