Job summary

Babilou Family US seeks a Certified Teacher to lead a safe, nurturing classroom for 0-5 year olds, design developmentally appropriate curriculum, guide a teaching team, and model sustainable education practices aligned with Sustainable Education.

The role emphasizes family engagement, continuous professional growth, and collaboration to strengthen classroom systems and sustainability initiatives across our Little Sprouts program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active state teaching certification.
• Experience teaching young children in childcare or education.
• Knowledge of child development, curriculum design, and safety standards.
• Ability to lead classroom operations and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement daily lesson plans and learning experiences aligned with developmentally appropriate practice and sustainable education principles.
• Lead classroom organization and routines that promote environmental responsibility, mindful material use, and stewardship habits.
• Model best practices for the teaching team and ensure high‑quality instructional delivery.
• Supervise children during activities, meals, transitions and outdoor exploration with a focus on safety and holistic growth.
• Build strong relationships with families and participate in conferences and community learning opportunities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to strengthen classroom systems and sustainability initiatives; support Assistant Teachers.
