Job summary

The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a caring Infant Teacher to join our early childhood team in Newark, DE. TECE 1 and TECE 2 are required, along with a High School Diploma or GED.

This role supports babies through feeding, diapering, sleep routines, and varied early-learning activities. You'll help foster language, motor, and social-emotional development in a nurturing environment, while aligning with licensing and center policies.

Qualifications

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 are required.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in infant/daycare/early childhood preferred.
• Infant classroom experience is a plus.
• Comfort with feeding, diapering, safe sleep, and individualized routines.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants throughout the day.
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, naps, and daily routines.
• Create developmentally appropriate sensory, movement, and early learning experiences.
• Encourage language, physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
• Observe children's progress and support milestones.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized infant classroom.
• Follow safe sleep and health procedures.
• Build trusting relationships and communicate with families.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership.
• Follow Delaware licensing requirements and center policies.

Location: The Learning Experience – Newark, DE Pay: $17–$18 per hour (based on experience and qualifications) Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday Opening: 1

The Learning Experience – Newark is seeking a caring and qualified Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our Infant Teachers provide a warm, responsive environment where babies feel safe, secure, and encouraged to explore. You'll support each child's individual routines while creating meaningful experiences that encourage early language, movement, sensory exploration, and social-emotional development.

What You’ll Do

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants throughout the day
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, nap, and daily routines
• Create developmentally appropriate sensory, movement, and early learning experiences

Qualifications

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 required
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Previous infant, daycare, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred
• Infant classroom experience is a plus
• Comfortable with feeding, diapering, safe sleep practices, and individualized infant routines
• Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-orientedMust meet applicable Delaware childcare licensing requirements
