Job summary

The Learning Experience - Newark is seeking a caring and qualified Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Newark, Delaware. TECE 1 and TECE 2 are required, and the position focuses on nurturing infants and supporting their daily routines.

You will help babies feel safe and engaged, supporting feeding, diapering, naps, and developmentally appropriate learning activities while collaborating with fellow teachers and center leadership to meet licensing requirements and family

Qualifications

• TECE 1 and TECE 2 required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous infant, daycare, childcare, or early childhood experience preferred.
• Must meet Delaware childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants throughout the day.
• Support individualized feeding, diapering, nap, and daily routines.
• Create developmentally appropriate sensory, movement, and early learning experiences.
• Encourage language, physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
• Observe children's progress and support important developmental milestones.
• Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and engaging Infant classroom.
• Follow safe sleep, sanitation, and health procedures.
• Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership.
• Follow Delaware childcare licensing requirements and center policies.

Location: The Learning Experience - Newark, DE

Pay: $17-$18 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Fri

The Learning Experience - Newark is seeking a caring and qualified Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.

Our Infant Teachers provide a warm, responsive environment where babies feel safe, secure, and encouraged to explore. You'll support each child's individual routines while creating meaningful experiences that encourage early language, movement, sensory exploration, and social-emotional development.
