Job summary

Academy of Excellence Learning Center in Lancaster, CA is seeking an Infant Teacher to provide nurturing, development-focused care for infants within our early childhood team.

You will plan age-appropriate activities, document milestones, and maintain a safe classroom while collaborating with staff and communicating with families to support each child’s growth.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of infant care experience in childcare or early education.
• At least 15 ECE units including infant and toddler.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Pass background check and meet California licensing requirements.
• Strong communication and ability to build trust with families.
• Patient, warm, and dependable with genuine love for infants.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing.

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols in accordance with state childcare regulations
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure consistent, high-quality care

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience working with infants in a childcare or early education setting
• At least 15 units in ECE including infant and toddler
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Knowledge of infant development milestones and developmentally appropriate practices
• Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with families
• Must pass a background check and meet California Community Care Licensing requirements
