Job summary

The Learning Experience - Jacksonville Southside is seeking a passionate Infant Teacher to join our team. We implement our proprietary L.E.A.P.

Curriculum® to create a safe, nurturing environment where infants and toddlers can play, learn, and thrive under expert guidance. You will communicate regularly with parents, share their children’s adventures through apps and discussions, and collaborate with center staff to boost enrollment and engagement.

Qualifications

  • 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred.
  • CDA or Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  • CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role (DCF 45 hours)

  • Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® for Infants and Toddlers.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and thrive.
  • Communicate with parents about children’s activities and progress.
  • Support center goals around enrollment and engagement.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Manage the classroom to ensure safety and engagement.
  • Model growth mindset to inspire a love of learning.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants and Toddlers in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play, learn, and thrive.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
  • Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning

Qualifications:

  • CDA or Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
