The Learning Experience – Wheeling is seeking a passionate Infant Teacher to join our dedicated team in Wheeling, IL. You will shape early milestones, provide a nurturing environment, and partner with families to support each baby’s growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; CDA or early childhood coursework preferred.
• Experience with infants in licensed childcare.
• Knowledge of infant development milestones and age-appropriate activities.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to meet Illinois DCFS childcare licensing requirements.
• Warm, patient demeanor and strong communication with families and team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants (6 weeks to 12 months)
• Implement age-appropriate curriculum and developmental activities aligned with early childhood education standards
• Monitor and document each infant's daily progress, milestones, and developmental needs
• Maintain consistent feeding, sleeping, and diapering schedules for each child
• Communicate openly and regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's daily activities and growth
• Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety, and compliance with state childcare licensing regulations
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to foster a positive, team-oriented classroom environment
