Job summary

Britt Children’s Academy in Cocoa, FL seeks an Infant Teacher to create a nurturing classroom for infants 6 weeks to 12 months. You will implement age-appropriate activities and collaborate with families to support each child’s early development.

This full-time role runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, with pay of $14.50–$15.50 per hour depending on experience. Benefits include paid holidays, PTO, and TEACH Scholarship tuition assistance.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
  • FL DCF 45 hours required.

  • 1–3 years of early childhood experience.
  • Ability to write a lesson plan based on our curriculum "Beyond Learning".

This is a full-time position available from Monday to Friday, scheduled is from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The hourly pay rate is $14.50 - $15.50, based on experience and qualifications. This position is situated at our center located 1108 Peachtree Street, Cocoa FL 32922.

The Infant Teacher develops a nurturing, responsive, and engaging classroom environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months. This role coordinates age-appropriate curriculum and manages the day-to-day operations of the classroom while supporting each child\'s early developmental milestones through individualized, relationship-based care. The Infant Teacher should be patient, attentive, and able to work collaboratively with staff, families, and children. In this role, you will serve as a positive role model and team player, foster meaningful relationships with infants and their families, create safe and enriching learning experiences, and make a lasting impact during a child\'s earliest stages of development.

What You’ll Do:
  • Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
  • Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching
  • Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities to engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth
  • Follow all Britt Children’s Academy policies and state regulations
  • Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvementwhile collaborating with other educators
  • Implement sensory-rich, age-appropriate lesson plans and track children’s progress and report to parents
  • Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring, language skills and self-regulation and independent feeding and self-help skills
  • A well-balanced schedule of activities including learning, playing, diapering / potty training, eating, and napping
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

What We Need from You:

  • High School Diploma and/or degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study preferred
  • FL DCF 45 hours required

  • CDA for infants and Toddlers highly preferred
  • Must clear a full DCF level II background check.
  • At least 1-3 years of professional early childhood training/experience
