Job summary

Providence Children's Academy in Coconut Creek, FL is seeking a warm Infant Teacher to join our early childhood team. You will provide loving, attentive care for six infants with two teachers, and help create a safe, developmentally appropriate classroom.

The role requires a high school diploma (CDA or ECE coursework preferred), infant care experience, CPR/First Aid, a Level 2 background screening, and strong communication to partner with families and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; CDA or ECE coursework preferred.
• Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting.
• Knowledge of infant developmental stages and best practices in early childhood education.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain; pass Level 2 background screening as required by Florida DCF.
• Patient, compassionate, and dependable with a genuine love for working with babies.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• 45 DCF hours

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, compassionate daily care for infants including feeding, diapering, and soothing
• Plan and implement age-appropriate sensory and developmental activities for infants
• Monitor and document each infant's developmental milestones and daily progress
• Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment in compliance with licensing standards
• Build strong, trusting relationships with families through open and consistent communication
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation protocols for infant care
• Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to support each child's individual needs

About the Role:

Providence Children's Academy in Coconut Creek, FL is looking for a warm, nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during the most critical stage of a child's development. If you have a passion for caring for little ones and creating a safe, loving environment, we'd love to meet you! The class has 6 total infants with 2 teachers.
Full-time position hours: 8:30 to 5:30 or 9:00 to 6:00
Completive pay with paid vacation and sick pay after probational period plus holidays off.
