Job summary

The Learning Experience in Cheshire, CT is seeking a caring Teacher to create a safe, engaging classroom for infants and to implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum®. You will build strong relationships with families and work with a team to support early learning and development.

We offer a supportive, family-like atmosphere with opportunities for growth, paid training, and a competitive hourly rate for a full-time schedule Monday–Friday, 8AM–5PM.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of professional childcare or teaching experience (1 year preferred).
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP) and infant milestones.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• A positive, dependable, and team-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, loving, and engaging classroom environment for infants.
• Implement our fun, hands-on L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to support early learning and development.
• Build strong relationships with families by sharing daily updates, photos, and milestones.
• Collaborate with other teachers and center leadership to maintain a positive and supportive workplace.
• Model best practices in early childhood education and help guide assistant teachers in the classroom.
• Ensure compliance with all Connecticut state licensing and safety standards.
