Responsibilities

• Watch up to 5 infants aged 3 to 19 months.
• Change diapers on an hourly schedule.
• Plan basic art activities (bubbles, hand prints, etc.).
• Follow safety guidelines to keep children safe.
• Maintain a room that engages children and parents.
• Ensure good hygiene and diaper changes as needed.
• Clean interactive areas throughout the day.
• Prepare meals and snacks for the kids.
• Organize activities and develop curriculum for children.
• Develop daily schedules for the children.
• Keep records of each child’s progress and interests.
• Maintain contact with parents and communicate in emergencies.

Alaska Children’s Academy in Wasilla, AK is looking for one infant room caregiver to join our 9 person strong team. Our ideal candidate is punctual, trustworthy, and engaged. Both full and part time available.

Responsibilities

• watching up to 5 infants at a time ranging from 3 months to 19 months
• changing diapers on an hourly schedule
• planning basic art (bubbles, hand prints, Ext...)
• ensuring the safety of the children by following the SITS guidelines we will provide to you
• maintaining a room that engages the children and parents alike
• Ensuring the children have good hygiene and changing diapers as necessary
• Cleaning interactive areas throughout the day
• Preparing meals and snacks for the kids
• Organizing activities and developing curriculum for children
• Developing a schedule for the children to maintain throughout the day
• Keeping records of each child’s progress, interests and any problems that may occur
• Maintaining contact with the children’s parents and contacting them in the case of an emergency

Qualifications

• 18+ (If in high school 16 & 17 year olds are welcome to apply)
• High School Diploma or GED (Will take High-school students)
• Childcare experience preferred
