Qualifications

  • Must be at least 16 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
  • CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification within the specified timeframe.

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputablehealthcare organization in Helena, MT, and we are seeking a caring anddependable Early Childhood Assistant Teacher to join their Infant Room .

This role supports the Lead Teacher in creating asafe, nurturing, and engaging environment for infants ages 6 weeks to 24 monthswhile supporting their individual developmental and emotional needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Supportthe Lead Teacher with daily infant classroom activities and routines
  • Providea safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for infants
  • Assistwith developmentally appropriate activities, learning, and play
  • Superviseinfants in classroom and outdoor play areas
  • Adaptactivities and care to individual infant needs
  • Helpmaintain a clean, healthy, and organized classroom
  • Followdaily classroom routines and lesson plans
  • Provideclassroom coverage and support across infant classrooms as needed
  • Collaboratewith teachers, families, and community resources
  • Maintainrespectful and positive communication with children, families, and staff
  • Followstate childcare licensing, safety, and center requirements
  • Participatein required training and professional development
  • Receiveguidance and oversight from the Lead Teacher or Director

What We’re Looking For

Education & Requirements

  • Mustbe at least 16 years old
  • Highschool diploma, GED, or HiSET preferred
  • AmericanHeart Association HeartSaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid (within 30 daysof hire)
  • MontanaEarly Childhood Project Practitioner Registry (within 15 days of hire)
  • InfantSafety Essentials (within 30 days)
  • Healthand Safety Required Professional Development (within 90 days)
  • Completionof mandatory 16-hour annual training
  • Current orgnization and State Child Care Licensing-required immunizations

Additional Attributes:

  • Knowledge& understanding of childhood growth, development & Early ChildhoodDevelopment principles
  • Goodjudgment, critical-thinking, infant supervision and safety skills
  • Strongteam-work, communication, decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Abilityto remain calm under pressure and manage multiple tasks and stressorseffectively
