Job summary

Family Star is seeking a Lead Montessori-trained Teacher for our Infant classroom at the Northeast Denver location. The role requires Montessori certification, a relevant degree, and several years of early childhood teaching experience.

You will lead the classroom, partner with families, and ensure children's safety and development while collaborating with staff and the organization. This full-time position requires dedication to Montessori principles and inclusive education.

Qualifications

• AMI/AMS Montessori Certification required or in progress.
• 2-5 years of teaching experience with ages 0-3.
• At least one year Lead teaching experience.
• Must have oral and written proficiency in English.
• Must have reliable transportation for annual home visits.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and physical.

Responsibilities

• Interact professionally with infants and families with dignity and respect.
• Include families in Montessori environment and encourage participation.
• Plan, supervise, and implement curriculum per policies.
• Ensure safety, health, and social/emotional well-being of children.
• Lead classroom staff and handle recruitment, supervision, and evaluations.
• Complete daily child-related paperwork and maintain records.
• Engage in community events and professional development activities.

Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education
