Job summary

Family Star Montessori seeks an Infant Teacher Assistant for its Northwest Denver location. You will support infants with a Montessori approach, ensuring a safe, nurturing environment and facilitating family communication.

The role requires 2–4 years of infant/toddler teaching experience, a high school diploma or GED, and CPR/First Aid within 90 days. A CDA or Montessori training is preferred. The program offers competitive benefits and teamwork across classrooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet state licensing qualifications at time of hire.
• Current CDA or equivalent or obtain CDA within 1 year of hire.
• 2–4 years of teaching experience with children ages 0–6.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Proficient English language (oral and written).
• Must obtain Infant/Child CPR, First Aid, Universal Precautions within 90 days.
• Background check clearance, post-offer, pre-employment physical, and TB test.

Responsibilities

• Interact with infant children in a respectful, caring manner.
• Communicate daily with families about progress and incidents.
• Maintain a safe, prepared learning environment and Montessori materials.
• Follow CACFP guidelines for food preparation and serving.
• Collaborate with classroom teammates and sister classroom.
• Support in opening/closing duties and classroom paperwork.
