The Learning Experience – Owings Mills in Owings Mills, MD is hiring an Infant Lead Teacher to guide one of our infant classrooms. This full-time, Monday–Friday role focuses on responsive care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for babies.

Paying $17-$19 per hour, the position requires Maryland Infant/Toddler qualifications and strong safety and family-communication skills. Join a nurturing team committed to early childhood development.

Qualifications

• Maryland Infant/Toddler Teacher qualification (45-hour) required
• High school diploma or higher required
• Experience in infant classrooms preferred
• Understanding of infant development and developmentally appropriate practices
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred
• Must meet Maryland childcare licensing and background requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead an infant classroom in a safe, nurturing, and organized environment
• Support infants’ developmental milestones through sensory play and guided interaction
• Maintain individualized routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and transitions
• Supervise and support assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and ratios
• Communicate daily with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updates
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment and ensure licensing compliance

Infant Lead Teacher (Infant/Toddler Qualified)

Location: The Learning Experience – Owings Mills, MD

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

Pay: $17-$19 per hour

The Learning Experience – Owings Mills is seeking a nurturing and experienced Infant Lead Teacher to guide one of our infant classrooms. This role focuses on providing responsive care and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for babies during their earliest stages of growth.

Our infant program provides a calm, structured environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead an infant classroom in a safe, nurturing, and organized environment
• Support infants’ developmental milestones through sensory play, language exposure, and guided interaction
• Maintain individualized routines including feeding, diapering, naps, and transitions
• Supervise and support assistant teachers to maintain classroom consistency and ratios
• Communicate daily with families regarding routines, milestones, and classroom updatesMaintain a clean, organized classroom environment
• Ensure full compliance with Maryland childcare licensing and safety standards
