Job summary

Loyola Medicine in Maywood, IL seeks a Nutrition Technician to assist in the specialized infant formula room, under the supervision of a registered dietitian. You will prepare formulas, ensure accurate labeling, and maintain strict hygiene standards.

You’ll screen nutrition needs, document in the EHR, and collaborate with dietitians, nurses, and physicians to support high-quality inpatient nutrition care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or a related health field is required.
• NDTR certification preferred.
• Illinois Food Handler Certification required (may be obtained after hire).
• Less than one year of related experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare specialized infant formulas and human milk fortifications in the Infant Formula Preparation Room.
• Maintain sanitation and safety standards per HACCP and aseptic technique.
• Calculate preparation volumes and additives using Excel-based tools.
• Verify feeding orders with dietitians, nurses and physicians.
• Document preparations and data in the EHR.
• Deliver prepared feedings to nursing units in a timely manner.
