Job summary

Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children seeks a Formula & Milk Room Technician to prepare and deliver infant formulas and milk according to established procedures. This onsite role supports the Clinical Nutrition Department at APH and ensures accurate patient-specific feeds.

This 24-hour weekly position across three days in Orlando, FL handles inventories, barcode systems, and HACCP guidelines while collaborating with dietitians and nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Education/Training: High school degree or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and delivers formulas and milk per procedures.
• Performs accurate calculations based on orders.
• Verifies orders with a Registered Dietitian for accuracy.
• Identifies potential food allergens in patient orders.
• Records information as needed.
• Maintains inventories of supplies.
• Monitors tracking system for the Formula & Milk Room and temperature ranges.
• Maintains daily department records.
• Uses barcode system for human milk feedings.
• Keeps refrigerators, freezers, and work areas clean and organized.
• Identifies and stores donated human milk with proper records for Milk Bank processing.
• Follows double verification with staff before feedings.
• Follows HACCP guidelines for infection prevention.
• Maintains regular attendance and compliance with policies.

Education
