Job summary

JCC Chicago in Evanston is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our infant program. You will work with a team to provide a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum that embraces Jewish life and supports each child's growth.

As part of a Reggio Emilia-inspired program, you will help implement emergent lesson plans, participate in staff development, and maintain strong communication with families while adhering to safety and DCFS standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children, supervising by sight and sound.
• Collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement the integrated secular and Jewish curriculum.
• Support emotional and cognitive growth while maintaining a positive, nurturing classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with families, directors, and staff about child progress.
