JCC Chicago in Evanston is seeking an Assistant Teacher for our infant program, joining a diverse team of educators and specialists dedicated to the whole child through a developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum. Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and welfare of all children by sight and sound.
• Work with the teaching team to implement the JCC's integrated secular and Jewish curriculum.
• Provide and maintain an atmosphere conducive to emotional and cognitive growth.
• Establish and maintain strong communication with directors, staff, and families.
• Welcome families and provide information regarding their child's progress.
• Foster a collaborative, team-focused environment throughout the classroom and agency.
• Participate in at least 15 hours of staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development annually.
• Help maintain DCFS and Illinois state standards.
