Job summary

Wonderspring, a nonprofit early childhood education organization, is seeking an Infant Assistant Teacher to support our Lead Teacher at the New Market West Center. You will help implement daily lesson plans, supervise infants, and share progress with families.

In this entry-level role, you will learn caregiving routines, document milestones, and model positive behavior strategies while maintaining a nurturing, relationship-based classroom environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience with children, infants and toddlers preferred.
• Must obtain required clearances and complete a TB health assessment before employment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, learning activities, and classroom routines
• Supervise children in your care
• Assist with the lead teacher's classroom responsibilities in their absence
• Assist with all tasks of the daily schedule
• Teach positive behavior strategies such as FLIP IT and Second Step
• Observe, document, and celebrate each child’s progress and share updates with parents
