Job summary

Training & Research Foundation seeks an Infant Assistant Teacher to help create a safe, nurturing space for infants and toddlers and to support the implementation of emergent curriculum. You will assist with lesson planning, observe development, and foster meaningful activities aligned with each child’s pace.

You will also partner with families, maintain a clean, organized classroom, and participate in daily routines such as meals, diapering, and naps while upholding program standards and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 ECE units, including 3 units in Infant/Toddler, with Assistant Teacher Permit issued from CCTC.
• Experience working with infants and toddlers (Birth-24 months).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution abilities.
• Ability to work with staff and parents in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in creating a safe, nurturing infant/toddler classroom.
• Help implement Emergent Curriculum and plan developmentally appropriate activities.
• Prepare weekly lesson plans with indoor/outdoor activities.
• Provide multicultural materials reflecting children and families.
• Organize the classroom by developmental level and individual needs.
• Support diapering, toilet-training, meals, snacks, and daily routines.
• Maintain active supervision and safe, sanitary environments.
• Build positive relationships with families through professional communication.
