Job summary

Bath Area Family Ymca Master is seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher to support the Enrichment Program. The role involves supervising infants, fostering nurturing relationships with children and collaborating with parents and caregivers to meet developmental needs.

Candidates should have experience with young children, knowledge of Maine Early Childhood Learning Guidelines, Creative Curriculum and NAEYC standards, and hold CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children.
• Familiarity with the State of Maine Early Childhood Learning Guidelines, Creative Curriculum, and NAEYC Accreditation Standards.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Commitment to the field of early care and education.

Responsibilities

• Supervise infants in the Enrichment Program and support Lead Teacher.
• Provide a learning environment tailored to infants' developmental needs and interests.
• Communicate positively with children and caregivers throughout the day.
• Implement behavior management consistent with program philosophy, focusing on positive reinforcement and redirection.
• Assist with safe, engaging mealtimes and support individual learning styles and family values.
