Job summary

Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center seeks an Assistant Infant Teacher to join our Beachwood campus. You will support a Lead Teacher in providing a safe, nurturing environment for infants, implementing developmentally appropriate activities, and communicating with families daily.

Ideal candidates hold a degree or CDA/CPL Level 3 in early childhood education, with knowledge of infant development and compliance with licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, associate degree, CDA, or CPL Level 3 in Early Childhood Education or a related field
• Knowledge of child development and best practices in infant care
• CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention, and Communicable Disease Training (ODJFS certifications)
• Ability to complete 30 hours of approved Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) training every two years
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• A genuine passion for working with young children

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily care and supervision of infants
• Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities
• Encourage cognitive, physical, social, and emotional development
• Monitor and document children's progress and needs
• Build positive relationships with families through daily communication
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
• Follow all center policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
