Job summary

Play Time Early Childhood Enrichment Center is seeking an Assistant Infant Teacher to join our Beachwood, OH team. You will work with the Lead Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing learning environment for infants while supporting developmentally appropriate activities and daily care.

The ideal candidate has a background in early childhood education and is committed to licensing standards, SUTQ training, and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Associate Degree, CDA or CPL Level 3 in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Knowledge of child development and infant care best practices.
• Current or willingness to obtain CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Recognition and Prevention, and Communicable Disease Training.
• Ability to complete 30 hours of Step Up To Quality (SUTQ) training every two years.
• Strong communication, teamwork and organizational skills.
• Genuine passion for working with young children.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily care and supervision of infants.
• Support implementation of developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
• Encourage cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
• Monitor and document children's progress and needs.
• Build positive relationships with families through daily communication.
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized classroom environment.
• Follow all center policies, procedures and licensing requirements.
