Job description

The Sales Industry Manager, Window & Door, serves as the owner of their assigned market segment and is accountable for driving top-line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability for Seal Bond. This role requires a strategic, entrepreneurial mindset with both the analytical rigor to build plans and the commercial instinct to execute against them.

The Window & Door segment is defined as any or all window and door manufacturers. A market overview document will be provided. The geographic scope of this role covers North America — Mexico, the United States, and Canada.

Responsibilities & Strategic Expectations

As the Sales Industry Manager, the individual will hold strategic ownership of the Window & Door segment in concert with the strategy for the Industrial segment and the corporate strategy for Seal Bond. In this role, the individual is expected to develop the strategy in collaboration with their peers and management team and to obtain alignment and approvals for execution. The following areas require active leadership and documented planning:

Growth Target List & Plan of Approach
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized list of top prospects and key existing customers within the Window & Door segment.
  • For each target, define a tailored plan of approach — including rationale for prioritization, key stakeholders, and differentiated value proposition.
  • Construct a bottom-up revenue forecast for the next two-year period, broken down by customer and opportunity.
  • Include a progress plan for each opportunity: stage in the sales process, expected close timeline, and estimated deal size.
Distribution Involvement & Channel Strategy
  • Define channel strategy on a customer-by-customer basis, identifying where distribution partners play a role and where direct engagement is appropriate.
  • Actively manage and coordinate with distribution partners as needed.
  • Identify which products and product lines should be positioned and sold within the Window & Door segment.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to flag product development needs and gaps.
  • Determine required performance testing and certifications (e.g., ASTM standards) and drive the process to obtain them.
Travel & Entertainment (T&E) Plan
  • Develop a forward-looking T&E plan that covers key conferences, trade shows, and customer travel.
  • Align T&E activity to growth targets and pipeline priorities.
  • Proactively identify and communicate significant gaps in capability, coverage, or knowledge within the segment.
  • Surface competitive threats and risks to the growth plan with mitigation recommendations.
Required
  • 5-10 years of Relevant (Adhesives, Sealants, Coatings) Sales Experience
  • Possess an “Entrepreneurial” and “Service-first” Mindset
  • Demonstrated Technical Aptitude for taking charge and solving problems; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and cooperatively within a team environment
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess proficient reporting skills and have meticulous attention to detail
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and CRM Software
  • Ability to manage and successful work under tight time constraints
  • Ability to travel domestically: the ability to travel by plane, operate a motor vehicle, maintain a valid state motor vehicle driver’s license, and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle driving record
  • Ability to Work Evenings and Overnight Travel (Travel Approximately 50%)
Preferred
  • Post-Secondary Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business
  • Knowledge of Dispensing Equipment
  • Prior Experience in Industrial/Product Assembly Adhesives Space
  • Prior Experience in the Window/Door Market
  • Prior Experience with Hubspot (CRM)
