Job summary

The Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota invites applications for Industry Inclusion Fellow positions to develop new curriculum and engage with students and the community on diversity and inclusion topics.

This part-time instructional role supports fall 2026 and/or spring 2027, with an appointment at teaching specialist rank. Up to $2,500–$3,000 per semester, renewal possible based on funding and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and documented professional achievement in a relevant field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated experience working on issues related to strategic communication, journalism, equity and diversity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with an HSJMC instructor to design a semester plan for student engagement.
• Commit to three days of student engagement per semester.
• Engage with students on assignments or run master classes aligned with course goals.
• Participate in an organized mentoring activity with students.
• Attend a Professional Development workshop or panel with students.
