Job summary

The Hubbard School of Journalism and Mass Communication at the University of Minnesota invites nominations and applications for a part-time Curricular Development Fellow to support student professional development. Responsibilities include advising students on career concerns, contributing to educational initiatives, and mentoring as assigned.

The position runs during Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027 with renewal possible.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least three years of documented professional achievement in journalism/advertising/public relations or media field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience related to strategic communication, journalism, and media curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Advise students about professional career concerns individually and in groups.
• Contribute to delivery of educational initiatives through professional interactions and standards-setting.
• Provide collaborative mentoring or substitute instructional support for educational programs.
• Participate in School colloquia and share developments in the professional field.
