Job summary
Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking an Automation Technician to support the execution of automation and controls initiatives and advance Industry 4.0 objectives. You will oversee day-to-day automation and manufacturing system operations, ensuring uptime, data collection, and timely deployment of solutions on the plant floor.

Qualifications
- Completion of a vocational program or equivalent in Automation Technology or Mechatronics.
- 2–3 years of experience in automation, controls, or industrial manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, HMIs, control networks, vision systems, and sensors.
- Strong troubleshooting and data-driven decision making.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Good communication across facility levels.
Responsibilities
- Support automation and controls initiatives to advance Industry 4.0 objectives.
- Oversee day-to-day automation and manufacturing system operations.
- Provide on-the-floor technical support and hands-on automation deployment.
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot equipment to maximize uptime.
- Coordinate maintenance with trades and supervisors to minimize downtime.
- Update system documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
