Job summary

Daniel Defense is seeking an Operations Project Engineering Lead in Georgia to own the end-to-end industrialization process from design release through LRIP and production readiness. You will coordinate with NPD and lead cross-functional teams across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Supply Chain, driving readiness reviews and gate approvals.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
7–10 years of progressive manufacturing and industrialization experience with leadership of major programs.
Strong knowledge of ERP manufacturing data governance, BOMs, routings, costing, and LRIP readiness.

Responsibilities

Lead the Operations Project Engineering function and end-to-end industrialization from design release to production launch.
Coordinate with NPD Project Management as the senior Operations liaison for priorities and launch readiness.
Direct the industrialization portfolio, set priorities, assign ownership, and align schedules.
Govern ERP item setup, BOMs, routings, resources, runtimes, labor standards, lead times, costing data, and change control.
Lead readiness reviews and participate in NPD-led gate reviews; coordinate recovery plans as needed.
Collaborate across Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Supply Chain, and NPD to maintain accountability for technical deliverables.
Develop and mentor Operations Project Engineers; ensure quality and workload balance.
Commit to EH&S principles and continuous improvement.
