Job summary

Daniel Defense in Black Creek, GA is seeking an experienced Operations Project Engineering Lead to own the end-to-end industrialization process, from design release through FAI, LRIP, readiness, and product launch. You will work closely with NPD as the senior operations liaison and drive priorities and schedules across functions.

The role requires leading the industrialization portfolio, establishing standards, and ensuring readiness across ERP data, BOMs, and manufacturing parameters.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 7–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, industrialization, NPI, or project management, including leadership of major programs.
• Ability to own industrialization or new product launch function and govern a multi-project portfolio.
• Advanced understanding of manufacturing readiness, LRIP, production ramp, and NPD stage-gate processes.
• Strong command of ERP data governance, item setup, BOMs, routings, costing, and change control.
• Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, and executive communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead the Operations Project Engineering function and end-to-end industrialization from design release through production readiness and launch.
• Serve as senior Operations liaison to NPD and primary escalation point for priorities, resource conflicts, risks, and launch readiness.
• Direct the industrialization portfolio, set priorities, allocate resources, and translate changes into schedules and actions.
• Govern industrialization requirements, readiness criteria, standard work, policies, templates, and document controls.
• Oversee ERP item, BOM, routing, costing, and data readiness; ensure data integrity across programs.
• Lead readiness reviews, coordinate recovery plans, and report status in leadership reviews and roadmaps.
• Develop Operations project engineers, manage workload, and promote safe, high-quality launches.
