Job summary

Sherwin-Williams Co. is seeking an R&D Manager, Commercial Applications to lead the application laboratory for the Industrial Wood Division.

You will act as the technical expert in product application and rheology, supporting product development, customer implementation, testing, and training while collaborating with internal teams and external customers to validate products and drive adoption of Industrial Wood solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math or 10+ years of experience in Applications.
• Experience leading a team in a matrix organization.
• Strong communication skills for internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide testing support for stage gate product development and benchmarking.
• Lead and mentor team members to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate resources, materials, and scheduling for testing and training activities.
• Develop and validate IW application procedures to align with customer line audits.
