Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company’s Industrial Wood Laboratory is seeking a Technical Manager to lead development and commercialization for OEM Industrial Wood products. You will partner with Industrial Wood Sales and Marketing to align product development timelines and coordinate activities with Sherwin-Williams functions.

The role emphasizes cross-functional leadership, customer focus, and timely execution under pressure, with about 20% travel.

Qualifications

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field
8 years of experience in coating formulation and applications
5 years of experience in managing/supervising direct report(s) with people development
Customer-facing interaction experience
Experience with successful product development and launch

Responsibilities

Lead the portfolio of technical programs and projects for OEM Industrial Wood Products
Drive a customer-centric culture for innovative solutions and execution excellence
Translate technology strategy into actionable deliverables and ensure team accountability
Collaborate across functions to identify trends and opportunities for value creation
Build customer relationships and ensure satisfaction and business retention
