Brightpath Associates LLC seeks an experienced Application Specialist to lead spray testing, product evaluation, and field problem-solving in our El Reno, OK facility. The role bridges Product Management, Laboratory Development, Technical Service, and Sales to ensure coatings perform in real-world spray environments.

The candidate will maintain spray equipment, lead testing, and support lab initiatives, new product launches, and continuous improvement projects in a hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience applying industrial wood coatings (stains, lacquers, varnishes) in production spray environments.
• Experience with airless and air-assisted airless systems, HVLP and conventional spray guns.
• Ability to maintain spray booths, filtration, finishing equipment and fluid handling systems.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration with product, R&D, sales and OEM teams.
• 5+ years of experience in industrial wood finishing or coatings application.
• Excellent attention to detail and safety compliance.

Responsabilités

• Conduct spray application testing for new product development and reformulations.
• Perform internal product evaluations and competitive benchmarking.
• Document coating performance metrics (dry times, transfer efficiency, finish).
• Maintain and operate spray booths and finishing equipment.
• Set up and operate industrial spray systems (airless, HVLP, conventional).
• Collaborate with Sales, Technical Service, Product Management, and Lab teams.
• Support product launches with spray parameters and guidelines.
• Conduct spray testing of competitor coatings and evaluate appearance and production suitability.
• Assist in coating system validation for new product launches.
