Job summary

Goodyear, a leading tire manufacturer with facilities in Akron, is seeking an Industrial Welder to support tire-related manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, repair, and safety adherence in a dynamic factory setting.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma or GED, are at least 18, and are legally eligible to work in the United States. Prior welding experience in an industrial environment is preferred, with basic tool proficiency and safety

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
• No relocation offered.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must provide basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and weld in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Operate brazing and soldering equipment.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and manufacturing specifications.
• Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat bend, grind or bolt components to required configurations.
• Monitor welding process to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.
• Log maintenance and repair activities; follow safety policies (LOTO, PPE).
